Classify by range

Post by droneman2 »

Hi,

Is there a way to classify points by a given range?

For example, if i have buildings classified and around the buildings i want to make a selection of points with a range of 2 meters.
Is there a way to solve this in CloudCompare?

Thanks in advance.

Well not directly. But if you have a way to select the points corresponding to the buildings (via a classification scalar field, or manual or automatic segmentation, etc.) then you can compute the distances from the other points to these building points. And then select the points below 2 meters (with the 'Edit > SF > Filter by value' tool).
