Rendering volume density

Post by Samdesi03 »

Good morning,

I have used to density volume option to see the density of my point cloud and now I would like to render it. Could you tell which command would allow it?

Many thanks in advance.

Also, second question regarding the units. I have calculated the surface density with radius of 0.009 ( my object is in m so I suppose that's in mm). I was wondering which unit is actually displayed in the surface density scalar fields (is the number of points? Because in that case it looks like a very large number knowing the size of the object and the total points I have).

Many thanks in advance for your help!
All best,
Samantha

For surface density, it will be the number of points per (surface) square unit. Therefore if you chose a radius of 0.009, then the number of points will be divided by 0.009^2, which will indeed be very large.

Otherwise you can choose to compute the density as a number of points directly.
