im a new user and im trying to create point clouds out of some objs, however, when I bring in the obj into cloudcompare it gets distorted. Ill link some images to better illustrate my problem.

Any idea as to why this is happening?

Can you send me the OBJ file maybe? (admin [at] cloudcompare.org).
One option is that the faces described in the file have more than 4 vertices (in which case CC doesn't know how to handle them - you should see a warning message in the console).
