Decimated .e57's from FARO SCENE 7.1.1.81

Post by lgeis »

Greetings from Boise, Idaho!

I have produced a Project in which I have Registered a couple of Scans, Registered "External References," produced a Project Point Cloud, and then assigned a Clipping Box. From that Clipping Box I export an .e57.

This is two Point Clouds in .e57, of a back yard ("shot" several months apart). They do appear to have registered quite satisfactorily, but as you can see, the scans are decimated. I have no idea what might be causing the voids.

The same problem occurs whether or not I export from the Clipping Boxes or via File>Scan Project>Export Project Point Cloud. It occurs with at least .e57 and .pts exports.

Any ideas as to what voodoo this might be?! TIA!

Looks like an issue with big coordinates... Have you accepted the Global Shift proposed by CC? (you should simply apply the same to both clouds if you are worried about keeping the registration).
