Geotiff export with SF

Post by earthcub3d »

Hi there,

I am trying to export a cloud as a raster with the SF as photographed. I can't seem to get it to stop colouring based on the height grid. Original data is X,Y,Z,R,G,B. I am unable to change the active layer within the rasterize plugin and also the interpolate SF(s) is blanked out.

Is the problem just my cloud or am I missing a step. I have attached some photos to illustrate what I am talking about. Many thanks.

When I add the layer to Qgis it looks like this. I would like it to have the same colours as in image one.

I think this is because the Rasterize tool doesn't handle colors (and colors are not considered a 'scalar field' because they have 3 components instead of one).

I'll see what I can do.

OK, so I got around this by bringing the entire cloud into Qgis and assigning the colours of the markers (points) with an expression using the RGB fields. At 30 Million points it is probably maxing it out. It would still be nice to be able to export a coloured raster from CC. Cheers

Ok, RGB colors are now supported by the Rasterize tool of CloudCompare.

This feature will be available in the 2.7 version (should come out soon, so stay tuned).
