Entering Survey Data

Sorry, I'm a newbee to this, but I'm having difficulty working out how to enter survey data. Can anyone point me to a manual or describe (in simple terms) how to enter this data?
I guess you want to register a cloud with ground control points?
If yes then look at http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/in ... itle=Align. You can use this tool with a single cloud. And you can input GCPs as 'reference' points (with the 'pen' icon).
Otherwise, you can also save all your GCPs in an ASCII file (with 'X Y Z' on each line) and load this file in CC.
