Hi,
this might be a silly question but I cannot make it...
I've got a LiDAR scan of a surface which is not entirely vertical. So, I though I could rotate the cloud constrained to the X-axis. The result in CC after confirmation is ok. For further processing in a GIS I need to export the data as a text file. Surprisingly this exported data is a bit different from what I see in CC. What happens??? The Difference is very minor but significant enough.
Cheers,
Sascha
Translate/rotate and Export
Re: Translate/rotate and Export
Do you have a 'global shift' ? if you load the lidar cloud from a LAS file it may be applied silently (check this with 'Edit > Edit global shift & scale').
Because this one won't be modified by the rotation (i.e. the rotation is only applied on the local points). And the global shift is applied back to the rotated points at export time.
