Is there a way of either preserving the last location of the Custom Light or seeing what its current co-ordinates are? As it has such a good effect on the images I save it would be good to be able to restore its position so the lighting is the same.
Currently I roughly align a primative sphere (by eye) over the custom light screen cross but I frequently forget to move the sphere when I move the custom light and so lose its position when I later restart CloudCompare.
Custom Light
Re: Custom Light
That's actually a good suggestion. We could add a simple tool in the Display menu to do that. I'll add this to the TODO list meanwhile.

Thanks Daniel,
That would be very useful

Re: Custom Light
So I took the time to implement something very simple: 'Display > Lights > Set custom light position'
It will just let you 'read' the current custom light coordinates and update them. Which means it's not perfect, but at least you can copy/paste the position in a text file for instance.
You can test that with the latest 2.14.beta version online.
