Hey there, I’m new to work with Cloucompare and i have an issue where i could use your help please.
At the moment i have some 3D printed parts, these are placed like planed and result in a triangle (3 corner parts and 3 Longitudinal parts). Now i Scanned the result and want to check how much off is the reality from my real assembly in front of me.
Any idea how i could do this with cloudcompare?
I already don’t know with format I should export from Rhino to work "best" in CC.
Would be nice to have your ideas and help.
Best,

3D Scan compare with my Rhino Modell
Re: 3D Scan compare with my Rhino Modell
If you want to load a triangular mesh in CC, the best formats are: PLY, OBJ or STL
And then you mostly need to register the two entities (mesh and point cloud? or 2 meshes), before computing the distances. See https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... D_entities
