Hello!
I would like to know how the barycenter is calculated with the 'Export cloud info' feature, specifically the equation the program uses for this calculation. I want to understand if it is the same as the geometric center and whether it is representative.
I would also like to know if it should match the point created using 'Tools > Sand box > Create cloud from selected entity centers,' because when I export the cloud info, that point differs from the one created in the sandbox option. It seems like the latter represents the center of the bounding box, while the former is the center of the cloud itself.
Also, on another subject, can I know with what precision the cloud was captured?
Thank you in advanced.
Barycenter (X,Y,Z)
Re: Barycenter (X,Y,Z)
1) Barycenter: average X, Y and Z coordinates of all the points. Should be equivalent to the 'geometric center' or 'centroid'.
2) Correct, the Sandbox tool exports the bounding-box centers
3) And I don't know any format that saves the 'sensor accuracy' information. So I would answer 'no'.
