Anyone know what causes an OBJ file to show up as black? I have opened the same file in MeshLab and it seems to work just fine.
Thanks!
OBJ import Shows as Black
Re: OBJ import Shows as Black
Hi Eugene,
It can be due to various reasons:
- a wrong material description in the .mtl file (you would have to share the file with me - and maybe you already see an error or a warning in the Console when loading the file)
- it could also be funky normals (you can simply hide the normals if they are ever displayed)
- or even the light is deactivated while the normals are enabled

Let me know if you did in fact receive the file I sent and if you can find any issues with it.
