Issue with .e57

Hi, I have problem with project in extension .e57. It is so big around 50 GB, I got this form client and I was trying to split in to small pieces. I opened it one time, then I was trying to open before scan file I was waiting a few minutes and program shutted down and I don't know why, program didn't show any information, it closed and that's all. Maybe you have solution or if it possible slip this in commend line ?

Probably a memory issue? Try to increase the virtual memory maybe?

Another option is to use the command line to open and decimate the cloud (as it requires less resources than the graphical version): see https://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/i ... _line_mode

So , I used pc were is around 40 GB physicals memory and virtual around 60-70 GB. Program didn't use hole memory and shouted down, and yes before I wrote post here I tried use commend line but the result wasn't enough.

Do you know the number of points? Because there's a theoretical limit of 2 billion (that could explain the crash?).

Yes there were around 1.8 billion points, so it will impossible to open this yes ?

Ah that's quite a lot. I think the record I heard about (never tested myself) was 1.3 billion in a single cloud (but via the command line tool)
