Transformation Matrix / Structured Export

Hi All, Just a newbie question,

Trying to align 2 point clouds and I'm not getting the alignment I'm after, always a few centimeters off.

Is there a way I can export as structured so I can try to align in recap?

Or if that's not possible I've read on this forum you can slice down your model, align a tiny section and then copy the transformation matrix to the main cloud clone or newly inserted cloud. I can't get the transformation matrix to align the entire cloud after copying the matrixes from a small aligned section.

Probably missing something simple, your guidance is appreciated.

And when you align, make sure to properly set the 'overlap' parameters (if you are using ICP). Otherwise, point-pair picking is also a good idea when aligning clouds with quite different shapes or extents.
