Locking Clouds for Level Tool/ Orientation Change

Dear CC Enthusiasts,

May I ask if anyone can help with the following?
I would like to "lock" several aligned clouds together and use the level tool on them. The clouds are already aligned, but whenever I mark more then one cloud, the level tool shows the error/ command "Select an Entity". Just levelling one cloud alone is not an option, as there would be way too much work involved to level dozens of clouds again, and to merge the clouds is unfo also no option, as they need to be kept separate.

With the latest version, you can now merge the cloud (CC will suggest to generate a scalar field to keep the original cloud index) and then later split this merged cloud based on the original index (select this scalar field if not already, and use 'Edit > Scalar fields > Split cloud (integer values)'.
