Problem loading LAZ

I'm new to CloudCompare. I attempted to open an LAZ file from a Lidar scan (not a huge file) but it loads as a narrow colored "strip". The coordinates are LAT/Long, I'm running on Windows, not sure how to proceed.

CloudCompare can only load 'cartesian' coordinates (metric units for all dimensions) while here you have angles for X and Y, and metric units for Z (with very different 'scales').
