Default radius computation

I wanted to ask about the radius computation in CloudCompare, as when we compute geometric features from the tools section. A radius is computed automatically before doing any feature computation. It varies for different point clouds. Can you please provide me any information how this radius is computed specifically for each point cloud?

That's just a very gross first guess based on the cloud bounding-box. This parameter should definitely be (re)set by the user.

Suppose we have two point cloud of the same area with different scale, should they must have same or different radius?

If you want to compare the results, I guess you should use the same radius?
