I would like to adjust distorted part of point cloud.
I took 3D laser scan of a straight corridor, but the point cloud data is bent.
Could I cut a segment and move it to the right place, just like cut and paste?
Any other way to fix is also welcome. Thank you.
how to fix point cloud
Re: how to fix point cloud
Well you could use the interactive segmentation tool (scissors icon) to separate the different parts and then the interactive transformation tool to move them.
But if it''s classical sensor distortion we are talking about here, I doubt it will be enough?

Re: how to fix point cloud
Thank you daniel. The segment tool worked fine.
I am fixing ply format files. When I save the fixed data, could I save it as one ply file?
As well I would like to save aligned (connected) data as one file.
So far I save it as CloudCompare binary, “.bin” format.
When I open the bin file, several segments or the clouds before connected are showed separately in DB Tree.

Re: how to fix point cloud
To save the cloud as PLY you just have to fuse all the different sections. Select them all at once (keep the CTRL key pressed) then go to "Edit > Fuse".
