Ok I finally managed to dowload this monster ;). You can remove it.

Sadly I've been unable to reproduce the issue on my computers (both with Seven 64 bits, but both with GeForce and not Quadro GPUs).

But it seems clear now that the display with normals is awfully slower than with all the other features (even compared to scalar fields). I'm wondering now how to enhance it (hoping it will remove the issue by the way).

To be continued...

Hi all,

this morning I experienced the same error twice, using a NVIDIA Quadro 4000, when comparing very large point clouds (2.8Gb and 1.34) using height function model. This was the first time that happened (by the way, the first error ever!) and I was working remotely. I disabled all display hibernation/sleep settings and "stuff" like this and maintained my remote connection open for the whole period...... Don't know if this has anything to do with the error, but the fact is that the process ended successfully.

Good work!
