How to split a point cloud in sub section equivalently

Hi I have a drone scan tile point cloud which is in perfect square.

I am wondering if there is any way to split this point cloud into 4 sub section, because the point cloud is too large to import to another software.

Is there any tool in CloudCompare allow us to split the point cloud into smaller point cloud seamlessly? Thank you.

There was a 'tiling' option in the LAS importer (not sure it stills works with PDAL, but it's worth looking at it).

Otherwise you can use the 'crop' method in command line (with a script?)

I tested this in 2.12 alpha, and tiling works perfectly I tested a 4x4 grid and saved files to the folder in a blink of an eye surprisingly fast. Loaded back and saw all tiles fit without issues
