ICP registration

Hello,
actually i want to fit to cloudpoints located in diferent coordinate system, i have to use ICP registration right ? i did the simulation but it didn't work i got them very close but not superposed, can anyone please help me ?
about the Offset point, is it choosen by cloudcompare or should we define it by ourselves ?

First the clouds should be roughly registered before using ICP (it's only for local refinement). And then you have to set the 'overlap' parameters correctly (even if approximately). This is the most important parameter.

And I'm not sure about the 'offset' point?
