Point cloud substraction

Post by jdulak »

Hi,

I'm working with a two point clouds. Big one include everything, second one only vegetation. I would like to subtract from the big point cloud everything without a vegetation. Is there any option in cloudcompare to do that? I would like to use this point cloud with vegetation as a ,,reference''..

Thank you all for your help!

Maybe by computing the distances between the big one ('compared') and the small one (as 'reference'). You can use C2C distances (Tools > Distances > Cloud / Cloud dist.'). Then filter the points of the big one with the highest distances values? (with 'Edit > Scalar fields > Filter by Value').

Be sure when computing the C2C distances to set a 'max distance' value so as to limit the computation time ;)
