Manual/Interactive generation of instance labels for objects

Hi,

I wanted to know if there is a way to manually generate instance IDs for different objects belonging to the same class in CC. My goal is to have a training dataset for instance segmentation. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Not sure to understand... You can split a cloud in multiple parts / objects (in various ways). Then assign them a 'constant' scalar field (= a scalar field with a constant value). If you always use the same name for the scalar fields on all the clouds and different constant values for each cloud, you'll then be able to merge all the clouds together and they'll keep only one SF with different values.
