Hi Daniel,
I’m actually working on a project where I have to extract forms and objects from a point cloud.
I’m using CloudCompare, I find the software extremely complete and efficient.
At the moment, I’m trying to extract the roads: I always begin by extracting the ground via the CSF filter, and then with CANUPO, I try to extract the roads.
The problem is that my road has not a “big” density of points in some spots, so it is not considered as road points.
My question is: Is it possible to add points manually in the spots where the problem appears?
Also, have you ever heard of another method for extracting the roads?
Thank you,
Cordially,

Re: Extraction of roads
Hum, not really. I believe there's a function to that in the old qPCL plugin (MLS - "Smooth using MLS, optionally upsample").
You would have to segment the low density areas (with the scissors tool), then use MLS on them, and then merge them back.
