Tag points group

Hi. Great software!
Is it possible to select some points and to assign them a tag for searching?
For example to create a group and to search its name for fast selecting?

Well, not sure.

You can definitely segment some points with the 'Scissors' tool and create a new subset/cloud out of them. Then you can either change the name of this subset or assign a constant scalar value, etc. But that's all.
