Scans of Tubes
I have a couple scans of the outside of a cylindrical target. I was wondering if there is anyway to find the axis of the cylinders, and then use the axes to register the scans together? Thanks in advanced!

Yes and no: you can fit a cylinder on such scans (with the qRansacSD plugin). But you won't be able to use the resulting information for registration...
At least after that you'll be able to perform ICP between one cloud and a cylinder model (which should be more robust than doing this between two clouds). However, with a cylinder shape, I'm not sure how the ICP process will behave...
