Comand Line get number of points

Hey there,

i have a point cloud which I first crop (works nice) then I want to fit a plane through it and read out the paramters of the plane.
moreover I would like to read out the number of points of the result point cloud.

how can I do that with the command line?

I did not find any commands for this in the wiki.

Indeed, there's no such tool via the command line.

But CC is an open source tool ;)
