Algorithm and figure demonstration of the C2M distance computation

Hi Daniel,

I attach a figure from your dissertation and I am curious if that figure is used to explain the cloud to mesh idea?

If a point P is on my compared clouds, how will CloudCompare to search the closest distance between P point to my reference mesh object?

Please let me know if you have more detailed information to explain how C2M works in the software. Thanks a lot.
