RANSAC information

Post by lidia »

Hello,
I am a Geosciences PhD student and I would like to detect fractures in rock slopes by using TLS. I've been practicing on a statue point cloud with the help of RANSAC plugin and now I wonder if, after detecting shapes (i.e. planes), it is possibile to export their dip and dip direction in .xls or .txt format, in order to add them in specific geological softwares. Thanks for your kind attention.

Have you considered the qFacets plugin? (http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/in ... s_(plugin)).

Or maybe the qCompass one for a more controlled/manual process? (http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/in ... s_(plugin))
