Hi,
Is it possible to create planes as a batch script via the command line? Or is there another way to create multiple planes according to a table (x,y,z,width, height, dip, dip.dir)?
Best regards,
Gustav

Re: RANSAC producing too large planes
Hi,
I installed the new release of CC and tested it on cloud with the same RANSAC parameters described previously. It now seems to work perfectly again. Super many thanks to you WargodHernandez for fixing this!
Regards, Gustav

Re: RANSAC producing too large planes
Hi, Attached is a link to .bin file with scan data that produces false ransac planes when using the parameters that I described earlier. The initial file type is pts point cloud from laser scanner to witch I have calculated normals with the triangulation method. As I said in my first post, this used...

Re: RANSAC producing too large planes
Hi, I tried to remove the global shift scale by setting X and Y to 0, but that did not help. I'm running CloudCompare 2.11.beta - 26/03/2020, but I noticed this issue already in the 03/03/2020 downloaded version. My computer has the following specs: - Windows 10 Pro for workstations ver. 1803 - Grap...

RANSAC producing too large planes
Hi, Has there been an update in the RANSAC shape detection code? The plugin does not produce planes that it used to do in the CC version from February and earlier. The planes seems to be way to large, and some planes are actually completely outside the point cloud. I have been using the same search ...

Re: Create planes from text file
Would this be a big task, from a programming point of view, to implement it into the software? The reason why I ask this is the following. After that planes has been generated with the Ransac or compass plugins, one can export the plane info with the batch export. In Excel you can then easily modify...

Best regards,
Gustav

Primitive factory - Cylinders
Hi, Is there a smart way how to add multiple CloudComare Cylinders (object) from at text file? For example in a format like this X1 Y1 Z1 X2 Y2 Z2 RADIUS . . . From Primite factory you can only insert one cylinder at a time (as I have understand) and the orientation of the cylinder has to be modifie...

Extrac contours according to a certain path
Hi all! Hopefully this can be done somehow. I have a scan of a complex tunnel in rock. I would like to generate a contour plot (polyline) of the tunnel walls from a certain distance from the tunnel floor (for example 1 m up from the floor). One can of course use the "Cross section" tool fo...

That is of course the way to do it! Silly me not thinking about it.
