Hi 12olc,
Compass doesn't fit-planes to traces by default, as this can get annoying when tracing things like contacts (that might not be planar). To make the plugin fit a plane you need to either:
(1) Press "Shift+Enter" rather than "Enter" when accepting the trace, or;
(2) Activate "Fit Planes ...

Hey Mat - I'm glad you like the plugin :)
You are correct that I've named the planes as STRIKE/DIP (this is the Aussie way ;) ) - however I take your point that this is inconsistent with the primitive readings of DIP / DIP-DIR. I'll change the code so it names the planes using the DIP / DIP-DIR ...
