Re: qCANUPO (classifier files, etc.)

Hi, Going through your questions: Firstly I've noticed that if I use your CC plugin, it seems like all my CPU cores get utilized whereas if I use your original tool, I have staggered resource utilization, usually one or two cores at any given moment. I'm curious if this indicates i should abandon yo...

Re: height grid generation with true Z

Hi Elodie, with the last version of Cloudcompare, there's no shift applied to the Z coordinate (you can check by looking at the properties at Global Shift, the third value sould be 0). Hence, the elevation of the new grid should be the true one. Now for the coordinates, if you select a point with th...

Re: qCANUPO (classifier files, etc.)

Hi BrunaGarcia, Have you read the paper describing the multi-scale classification ? It's probably the best way to start and understand how it works. Can you give me a list of other questions you have on Canupo. I'll try to compile them and create a FAQ. I'll also make a tutorial video in the coming ...

Re: Deformation analysis: measurement noise filtering etc.

How have you co-registered the reference model and the scan ?

Because having this info is important to know the minimum change you can expect to detect in the best case (i.e. with a scan with no positional error).

Re: ascii opening in Command line

Hi Daniel,

these are "normal" ascii files: no header, no special characters, just plain XYZ + scalars. When we load them through the command line, we just have to click "ok" nothing else.

Cheers

[Done] ascii opening in Command line

Hi Daniel, I had never tried the command line features, and these are just great... 2 command line request: .would it be possible to have a fully silent mode for the command-line opening of ascii files ? Because right now you still get the pop-up, and for well-behaved ascii files it requires a click...

[FIXED] Rasterize bugs

Hi, in the last release (and the beta one), the rasterize tool seems to generate strange scalars for the raster point cloud: . the Height grid values appears uniform in 3D even though the range shown in the color scale seems OK . the Per-cell population is completely off (also appears uniform in 3D)...
