Re: M2C-M3C2. Some questions.

Hi Flavia, there are various ways to get your results on the 2nd cloud: . Case 1: you select cloud#1 as the first survey, and cloud #2 as the second survey, in the M3C2 interface, and in the output tab you select "cloud #2". Note however that in doing so the point cloud produced by M3C2 wi...

Re: Some improvement suggestions

Hi Daniel, regarding the FARO SDK. Any chance this could be a plugin in which you would not release the source code to be consistent with FARO licensing, but the plugin would be freely available ? I suppose that even if there was a small fee for it, many user would buy it as it would be extremely us...

Re: M3C2

Hi James, picture of your point clouds would help. for M3C2: in your case, the guess param will have a limited use because what you want to do is the vertical difference. in that case you tick in the "Normals" tab: vertical. Then you don't have to worry about the "normal scale". ...

Re: [FIXED] Wiki down

Salut Daniel,

while the links you post above are working, the one on the documentation page of the website points towards this for instance:
http://www.cloudcompare.org/doc/wiki/in ... =PluginSRA

which is not working.

Cheers

Re: [Done] Global shift add-ons

This seems excellent. Having the possibility to load specific shifts for various projects stored on an external file is really great: I know that I tend to work with various sources of data (TLS, GPS, ALS, SRTM...) and being able to store a unique global shift for a give area is great. It will be to...

Re: issue during calculating the distance between 2 points

Hi Daniel,

I think they meant the "distance between 2 points" in the point picking tool, not the C2C calculation.

On my laptop (win 7 sp1), I've switched to the intel graphic card (HD3000), and I don't have the problem.

[Done] Global shift add-ons

Hi Daniel, some ideas pertaining to global shift: 1. when georeferencing a locally acquire point clouds 1 (TLS, drone) to cartographic coordinates by applying the correct transformation, CC correctly detect that there is a global shift to apply (GS1), but does not offer to specify it. This means tha...

Re: Improving “color space” by introducing a random color ra

Daniel, weren't you using random color attribution for the connected component color attribution ? This was working quite well in our case when we separated hundreds of vegetation bushes. So I suppose that a random color ramp could work based on a color increment every integer value of the scalar fi...
