I have installed (and reinstalled) both 2.7 and 2.8beta version on my laptop(Lenovo_p500) but can not visualise LAS files. It appears as randomly scattered 20-40 points. I have also updated graphics driver but in vain.
What to do?

I have generated the CC files with Cmake 3.6.1 & Qt 5.7 and built up the solution (INSTALL file) on MSVS 14(Update 3 2015) I am getting these errors. What am I doing wrong? What are possible m_app interfaces available ? If I need to use resources of RegistrationTools Class ( CCLib::FPCSRegistrationTools Class). Is there an m_app member for that?

I have faced these problems many times. 1) If I want to analyse small segment of a big cloud, I will have to zoom in and zoom out multiple times, just to check if I am actually seeing the desired parts on screen or not. 2) AND sometimes, if I open a bin file, I need to drag around the cursor hastily...

I want to automate few operations and routine tasks in CloudCompare. Can I use Matlab or any other macro-creation / automation software for that? Where do I start if I want to create such automation for such open source software?

Is it possible to apply Grid-view on any given point cloud (like 'Grid-lines' in MS Paint)? I want to extract transformation data(via point-pair registration) of each grid cell and process on it further. Till now , I have been doing it by manually segmenting the clouds into random sized patches.

Thanks for the prompt action. I have used the Point Picking tool in version 2.8.0 for 63 times and it did not have same glitch.
I even changed the default point size but it was working as it supposed to be!
