Hi all
I have been working on this point cloud for some time, with little positive outcome. Before I give up, I wondered whether someone more skilled, from the community, might have any advice?!
I have been asked to scan an internal wall of an old house (Some of the data can be found as an ASCII ...

Re: Comparing meshes - what am I really measuring?
Hi Daniel
Yes, I appreciate registering meshes like this are tricky....but I am not sure what else to use otherwise!!

As I say, the trends in the data make sense to me, it is just the magnitudes. I did check the unit issue, the processing of the work in done in WGS84, heights ...

Comparing meshes - what am I really measuring?
Hi all
I am not sure I'm doing the right thing here......
I have two aerial surveys of a sand dune system as meshes (the PCs are rather large!). I have managed to align them by point picking, and then do a mesh to mesh comparison.
The scalar field that is generated on one of the layers makes some ...

Re: qCANUPO (classifier files, etc.)
Hi Dimitri!
Thanks for the advice. I've been out and collected some data and had a play around. To be honest, the results are not as bad as I thought, but whether I'm getting an accurate model is a different matter!
I also used the Rasterize function with lowest point option (following a gut ...

Re: qCANUPO (classifier files, etc.)
All
Just started playing with CANUPO and CloudCompare, and I'm really impressed. Even using the classifiers on the CANUPO website, in a different context (a park scene) I managed to remove trees and bushes, lamposts etc.
However, I'm now moving to a more difficult context. I'm trying to establish ...
