Hi Daniel,
Yes of course it will do this to stop divergence. Thank you very much (Maybe a warning message could be added at some point to let the user know it stopped because it started to diverge rather than reaching the minimal MSE ;)
Best Regards,
Rob

Fine registration error difference question
Hi All, I have a question about the fine ICP registration tool. I'm a little confused about what is happening when one chooses a minimal error difference to warrant additional iterations for ridiculous values of error difference. I understand that it's the difference between the mean square error of...

Re: Few additional tools for selecting objects
Hi Daniel,
Understood, Thanks for the info. I'll see what I can do ( although it won't be nearly 9-5 ).

Rob

Re: Few additional tools for selecting objects
Hi Daniel, Thanks for the quick reply. CC appears to be very quick at cycling calculations repeated on millions of points in a point-cloud, for example registration or distance calculation or even simply just rotating or translating a PC with 20-million points seems very smooth etc.. So I'm finding ...

Re: [Done] Leica PTX reader
Hi Everyone, On this topic I would like to ask if anyone has any knowledge of how the .bin files exported from, say, the leica P20 are encrypted ? Currently these bin files have to be converted into ptx format via leica's own "Cyclone" program. Does anyone know if it's possible to avoid us...

Few additional tools for selecting objects
Hi Daniel, I have a few idea's for additional tools in CC (but currently and cannot add them myself due to lack of knowledge and time... hopefully this will change soon). These are additional tools for selecting parts of point cloud and mesh's in a box. Apologies if similar tools already exist and I...

Re: Difference between compiled CC and downloaded version
HI Daniel,
Yep you're correct, I was running in debug mode. Running in release mode works the same. What more does debug mode tell you ? (or is that not a quick question to answer)
Many Thanks,
Rob

Difference between compiled CC and downloaded version
Hi Daniel, As you know, with your help I managed to compile the CC source code on Win7 using VS2013 (and Qt 5.3.2). Previously I've been working on the downloaded version of CC-(v2.5.6 beta 64bit). When I open the compiled version of CC which is apparently the same (v2.5.6 beta 64bit) and open the s...

Re: Application failed to start and missing icuin52.dll
Hi Daniel, I must admit I don't entirely understand what that fix actually did - was it something to do with Cmake asking Qt to import some files into the CC install and as it was asking for the wrong name and it couldn't find it, it didn't copy anything over ? Either way, the fix worked. CC now com...

Application failed to start and missing icuin52.dll
Hi Everyone, I'm attempting to compile the CloudCompare source code on Windows7 using Visual studio Express 2013 and I've ran into a problem. I downloaded Qt( v5.3.2 windows 64 bit MSVS2013, openGL) and followed the wiki guide to configure and generate the binaries from the source code using Cmake a...
