AEVR,
I am also interested in viewing scans in VR. Did unity allow you to view your scan in VR? Is there a workflow available that you followed to do this?

Re: CANUPO Crash
Apparently I cannot use the .prm has an attachment. I could email them to you if you would like to check it out. I have tried many scales/parameters. The default settings (start 0.1, step 0.1, max 10) caused a crash. However, something like (start 1, step 10, max 501) seems to produce a better class...

CANUPO Crash
In CC 2.7 when I classify a point cloud using the CANUPO plugin the software crashes if the point cloud is greater than ~3 million points.
Specifically, it will process right to 99%-100% and crash.

3) Once you click on the inside or outside button, you can rotate the camera without leaving the tool (it's 'paused'). Then you can proceed with the segmentation by unpausing it - use the dedicated button or the space bar). This way you can avoid leaving and restarting the tool too many times. This...

Digital Elevation Models in Cloud Compare
I wanted to post my methods for creating a digital elevation model in cloud compare. I am referring to creating a new point cloud from raw point cloud data which only contains points/hits associated with the bare earth (ground hits). FYI my point cloud is collected by using an aerial UAV system thro...

Data Restructuring
It appears that when I load my data in the cloud compare it is somehow 'restructured' (I can't think of a better word). For example here is an image of a data set which I loaded into cloud compare. http://i.imgur.com/HRAXlvC.png Here you can see that the data is very uniform such that it appears to ...

Re: bare earth extraction - simplified method
Excellent. I was wondering about the function mentioned in this thread that uses actual points from the dataset rather than creating points in the center. I now realize that the 'resample input loud' function does this.
It worked perfectly, thanks again!

Re: bare earth extraction - simplified method
Does the height grid generation tool still exist? I do not see it under tools > projections.
Thanks
