Re: Export Tiff
So; For some reason I am able to bring a .tiff into CC and it appears rasterized, ie its not imported as a point cloud. You are saying there is noooooo way to export a .tiff? This is a huge issue for me, as I can't 3D model into CC instead, as it itself is a .tiff derived from my CC point cloud (pro...

Export Tiff
Hi Daniel! I have an issue.....SHOCKING I KNOW! I have an airphoto in .tif format that I need to reference. (I can only reference in 2D in ArcGIS) I can import the tif to CC very nicely, however, after transformation, I can't export as a tif....I need a way to export a raster.... Any suggestions? Th...

Re: Registration and error reporting
Hi Daniel, I'm sorry to ask to be spoon fed, this is all new and magical! ha! If I export the cloud, how will the distance between it and the GPS reference cloud be included? Wouldn't that then be xyz info (500000, 400000, 100), and small distances (0.0002)? I'm confused. Also, you are right. Arc is...

Re: Registration and error reporting
Daniel, Thanks for the speed of reply! Incredible! So I have been able to get my cloud to have the proper coordinates (similar to the real world GPS), however they are not near one another in Arc. The GPS cloud was being multiplied by -1 in the x, but I simply removed them. Still, the GPS and cloud ...

Registration and error reporting
Hi Daniel, More questions: 1. I have been able to register my cloud to my reference GPS survey very well using CC. I can easily get distance computations from CC that report everything I want to know. HOWEVER, I would like to do the analysis myself, so that I can make my own histograms etc. My solut...

Re: Draping Imagery on Interpolated Surface
Also, I created my point clouds from Microsoft's Photosynth (bundler you are referring to I believe). I have since manipulated the clouds here in CC, because it works great! Are you suggesting that cloud compare can be provided the photos used to produce these clouds, and will be able to make a mesh...

Re: Opening File
Now, I have been able to execute the transformations. Can you help me further understand what the import is doing when it's flipping my clouds so that I can be sure that I am not altering my data. I have no problem altering the coordinates of my photo clouds because they will be georeferenced anyway...

Draping Imagery on Interpolated Surface
It's me again, I noticed a "textured mesh" in a tutorial, and was wondering; a) Can textured meshes be produced in CC, or was it likely imported? b) If I wanted to drape imagery (from the photo survey that produced the point cloud) onto the interpolated surface, could it be done? I have se...
