Thank you for your answers. I did check and the global shift does put the coordinates smaller then 10 000 (even smaller then a 200). I will try with the newer version and keep you updated. What i was thinking is that actually the original coordinates are in the 100 000 for the X and in the millions ...

i am pretty new at using CloudCompare (or at least i am using it not very often) so this may be an easy fix and maybe i'm just doing something wrong!
