I've recently added to my post in Github with the hope that someone can help fix this problem.
These standard point cloud files from NOAA are unusable at this point.
(Tried changing coordinate systems in QGIS but that program doesn't like these files either.)
Strange.

Re: The "Thin LiDAR Line of DEATH!!!"
Hi Daniel,
Yes, that appears to be the issue.
Are there workarounds you can suggest?
And given the source (NOAA) isn't this an issue encountered by many users?
I put this in as a "bug" in Github but that may be a mischaracterization if there's an obvious workaround.

Double Click to Specify Center of Rotation not working on Mac
Hello CCers:
I'm running CC on a Mac with M1 silicon.
A function related to specifying the center of rotation appears to not be working.
Double clicking does not cause the COR to change.
Any advice on why or how to fix this?
Sincerely,
Ken

Help installing CC on MacBook with Apple M1 Silicon
First post. Total newbie to CloudCompare.
From the download page I was confused about which file to download. I'm running a Macbook with Apple M1 silicon and Mas OS = Sequoia 15.3.1.
I'd appreciate any help with instructions how to do this -- step by step if possible.
Thank you very much.
