How to use/access 'GuessBestRadius' function in CC?
Hello Daniel and everyone, I have been searching for a way to compute the optimal radius, or the 'Local neighbourhood radius' in Cloudcompare for one of my point clouds so I can compute its geometrical features. I came across the "GuessBestRadius()" described in the Octree class reference ...

Re: Canupo - validate Classification (no reference data?)
Hi Luke, Thanks for the post and sorry for the late reply on this. I am just after reading your paper "Classification methods for point clouds in rock slope monitoring: A novel machine learning approach and comparative analysis". Thanks for sending this on. Huge congrats on your work! Very...

Re: Canupo - validate Classification (no reference data?)
Hi all, I've been using CC to do point cloud classification for the past year and a half. I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you talk about "reference data," but I'm guessing you mean obtaining an independent set of points (not used for training) to evaluation the accuracy of the cla...

Plotting Canupo Confidence results (Graph)
Hello, This is more a data visualization question I think After performing the Canupo classification process, we can extract the table (.txt) of the classified point cloud with the values for X, Y, Z, R,G,B, PointSourceID, ScanDirectionFlag, Intensity, Canupo class and Canupo Confidence. I want to p...

Re: Export classified point clouds
Hi Daniel,
Thank you for sending a reply so fast. I have been testing other classification methods and so far, CC outperformed the other ones.
Can I still send you some data to test? Would files would you need?
Thank you
Kind regards
Larissa

Hi Paula,
I would like to follow your question as well.
Are you using Canupo classifier tool in CC or you are writing your own with the source code?
Thank you
Kind regards

Re: Export classified point clouds
Hello, I am a marine geologist and in my project, I aim to find different classification techniques for 3D models of coral reefs derived from SfM. So I have been looking into different classification methods to analyze which application can be applied to marine environments. I have seen really good ...
